Fucking Homo
or
How To Not Keep A Secret

Merv Griffin was a homo

You have to be the deeply confused to think that sexuality is a private matter. I mean, if Merv Griffin really REALLY kept his sex life private, then--logically speaking--no one would ever suspect he was a homosexual, but the fact that his and all of our love lives are public is what makes "outting" him at all possible, and therefore, something that isn't akin to an invasion of property.

I mean, think about how ridiculous the idea that one's own sexuality is private; it takes two to tango first off, and one's sexuality is a highly social and public thing unless we're talking about someone who goes home, closes the curtains, and beats off to porn magazines that magically materialized from the air.

What gives Merv Griffin the right to control what we have to say about what he does in public? With men who talk and have stories about him?

Its like saying murder is a private thing. Can you imagine that? Oh everyone in town knows this guy murdered Billy behind the barn, but that's between them, its a private matter. What a load of horse-shit, nothing is a private matter when you affect another person, and that person is known by other people, and there might be witnesses around!

Just because you're uncomfortable with your sexuality doesn't mean I have to be, so sit on it and spin, take it like a man!

"porn magazines that magically materialized from the air"

The internets /are/ magical

I wonder if you're not confusing private with secret. Sexuality is sex and sex is private. Just because 2 (or, ideally, more) people are involved doesn't make it public.
There are often several people in my home, yet my home is private. Sex is private to me. I share it with others, and discuss it with just about anyone who'll listen, but I tend to do it indoors with the blinds closed.
Yet, anyone with such a public life can't have the same expectation of privacy that I have. If you make your money on your public image, you're ass belongs to the public.

If you're having sex with two or more people, you have to find those people right? Where do you find them? In public! Or in a public forum.

Let's say you're secretly a lesbo, fine, ok so now you've gone to a lesbian bar, walked the streets with a girl, and were seen entering your home with a woman. Now the woman you had sex with, she has friends and family, this woman can talk and tell her version of things provided its all "alleged," and also about half a dozen people saw you at the lesbian bar, and even more saw you walking the streets snuggling a girl...

Now you're telling me you have special rights that prevents everyone from talking about you? No way. Your sexuality and any questions about it are totally in the realm of public life.

No one's sexuality is private.

Seems our disagreement is only semantic.
Also, you just imagined me kissing a girl.
